General Assistant (Part-time) Bristol, England
Job description
There is currently an excellent opportunity is available in our small but rapidly growing company making the children's wheelchair, TinyTrax, that we design here in Bristol. Charities then buy our chairs to help children all over the UK. This role will be predominantly in Bristol but may involve some business trips around the UK to assist with demos of the TinyTrax chair with children. So someone who enjoys travel and can take short trips and has the flexibility to do this would be ideal.
The main role will be undertaking basic assembly work of the TinyTrax. Most of our components are made for us to our design and then we assemble at our premises. No particular experience is required as training will be provided. If you have and assembled IKEA furniture and enjoyed that, then this will be an enjoyable step up gaining valuable skills whilst delivering an excellent product to help these children.
The ability and desire to occassionally help with young children (up to 10 years old) will also be key to this role, as assisting our existing key team members when demonstrating the TinyTrax may be occassionally required both on the business trips, and at our Bristol premises. Occassionally there maybe duties within marketing, promotions and production side of the business, assisting our head of marketing. The ideal candidate will therefore benefit from being able to sometimes make calls, use the Microsoft suite of software, as well as be willing to be involved with basic assembly work (of the IKEA construction).
We have 3 premises across Bristol (workshop & storage) but the main office and assembly unit is close to Cabot Circus in the Old Market area. You would be based here most of the time, but a small amount of home-working could be a possibility.
