What you’ll be doing
When you join our team as a General Assistant, each working day will be varied, depending on the needs of the centre. Therefore, you will be adaptable to the changing environment of our learning location and be happy to help where required.
It may mean that you are helping serve food to our guests one day, then cleaning and helping with Laundry the next. It would also be great if you could drive, so you could help deliver food and clean laundry supplies to the guests at staying at our Start Bay centre.
This an active role, so if you like to be kept busy and where no two days will be this same, this role is for you!

Where you’ll be based
Field Studies Council Slapton is located within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to Field Sites in Dartmoor National Park. We maintain two residential centres (Slapton Ley and Start Bay) in the coastal village of Slapton, as well as Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve.
Start Bay is very popular with primary schools and self-catering, providing exclusive use for groups of up to 40 visitors. Whereas Slapton Ley is very popular with larger GCSE, A Level and University groups and can accommodate up to 120 visitors.

You will have some previous customer service experience. In addition to:
