To work with the Centre Manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Centre, specifically to carry out a variety of administrative tasks including managing the daily finances, end of day reconciliation and cash handling, as well as daily general tasks including serving food & drinks, speaking with customers, moving tables & chairs and providing information in a warm and welcoming environment.
Person specification:
· Good knowledge and previous experience of an accounting package such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is essential.
· Friendly, positive, and outgoing with knowledge and understanding of the local community
· Professional but flexible approach
· Able to work under pressure
· Capacity to multi-task
Job specification:
· To take and keep records of all bookings and to send out booking forms as required.
· Electronic diary management of all bookings.
· To send out invoices for all room hires at month end
· To send out invoices for members booked lunches, transport etc.
· To enter all transactions and takings onto Xero on a daily basis and to close till(s) at end of day.
· To record and process all card transactions onto Xero.
· To record all petty cash payments and keep money up to date.
· Complete the weekly hire board.
· Keep and file records of all core activities.
· Keep records of grants received and spending on each grant.
· The processing of all purchase invoices ready for payment by the manager.
· To set up/take down rooms as necessary, this will include moving chairs and tables, hoovering and wiping surfaces as required. This may also include helping set up / take down the stage.
· To make & serve tea/coffee to customers and cover reception as required.
· Waitressing and serving food & drink to customers.
· Working alongside volunteers at the centre, aiding them as necessary.
· Answering queries about the Centre and helping customers/members as much as possible.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £10.00 per hour
