Role:
We are looking to hire a HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role sits within the UK corporate team with a headcount of circa 200, many of which have a reporting line outside of the UK who will require support.
As the HR Business Partner, you will be the first line of support for many general HR queries, and as part of your role you will collaborate on updating policies, procedures, and ways of working to reflect changes in legislation, processes, and practices.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day HR administration for the department keeping essential personnel files up to date, as well as dealing with annual leave and absence management.
You will support line managers with the probation/appraisal process to ensure the standards of work expected are being delivered by our workforce, as well as updating any personnel training records, which include the mandatory Training programmes.
Working as HR Business Partner, you will be exposed to a variety of corporate services and stakeholders at all levels - always maintaining confidentiality and trust.
You will be providing guidance to managers in their recruitment processes, tracking the entire employee lifecycle on the HR system, and assisting in employment issues that might arise when needed. You also ensure the internal financial approvals are maintained regarding employee hires, promotions, or changes.
You are responsible for managing your own workload to the deadlines or SLAs in place relating to issuing of contracts, payroll administration and offboarding IT security protocols.
Furthermore, you'll be providing first-line support & guidance to line managers and senior stakeholders around employee issues, advising on company policy, procedure and fairness.
Key duties include:
- Drafting documentation and letters to support management of employment issues including offer letters, contracts of employment, personal letters of reference and other information notices
- Management and preparation of the company payroll data
- IR35 - issuing of terms, compliance checks and payment administration
- Issuing of P45’s and payslips to leavers
- Support the Director of Human Resources with P&C minute taking in ER meetings (such as D&G)
- New employee inductions and Day-1 orientation
- HRIS management and updates
- Management and administration of all family leave entitlements (Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave)
- Advising on pay queries and other remuneration issues
- Promoting DE&I as part of the organisations culture and ambitions
- Supporting managers in the implementation of HR policy and practice on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and absence management
- Support the business with the management development of their people, providing advice, guidance, and ad-hoc training.
- Sbox Audits, ISO27001 & Governance audit management and co-ordination
- Statutory compliances (i.e. Day-1 and ongoing migrant worker RTW checks)
- Employee lifecycle (i.e. onboarding and offboarding)
- Administration of HR related 3rd party systems (e.g. employee benefit platforms)
- Supporting TUPE meetings and all administration regarding transfers into or out of the company
- Working across the wider Group with HR peers on related projects (such as TUPE or IT efficiencies)
- Support the corporate functions on any project roll-out/testing that may have HR activity - for example testing new functionality or platforms that relate to employee activity
- Compliance and management Migrant Worker documents & files
- You will also act as a Paige Partner - raising tickets, following processes, and escalating issues and delays.
Requirements:
- Level 5 CIPD qualified
- Solid understanding of HR and HR legislation in the UK and putting this into practice in respect of HR processes.
- Excellent organisation skills with a proven track record of consistently meeting deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work well independently as well as part of a team bringing a sense of urgency to the tasks at hand.
