We are now recruiting for a number of Gatehouse Operatives to join our Loss Prevention team at our Liverpool Distribution Centre.
The Gatehouse Operatives work to support our Transport and Goods In teams in ensuring barrier control across 3 busy gates, booking in deliveries and booking out and security checking Goods Out vehicles. You will play a vital part in the safety onsite and also carry out regular patrols both internally and externally.
We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast paced environment and are proactive in ensuring the smooth running of the Gatehouse.
Job Overview- Barrier control at Gates 1, 2 and 3
- Carry out regular patrols
- Report damage
- Examine CCTV footage and incident reports
- Monitor the fire alarm and sprinkler alarm panels and act when activated
- Ensure site safety during a site evacuation
- Undertake Yard Safety Marshal duties during busy periods ensuring the main road is clear
- Respond to assistance requests from colleagues
- Assist third parties and emergency services under the guidance of the Loss Prevention Manager
- Computer proficient
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional
- Understanding of distribution centre functions is preferable
- Experience of a similar role is preferable

Package- £22,345 per annum
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working 38.61 hours per week, 12 hour shifts
- Day shift times of 05:30 - 17:30 / 06:00 - 18:00 / 07:00 - 19:00
- 5.6 weeks paid holiday per annum, rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years’ service
