Job description
Rose Property Services is looking for dedicated, passionate, full-time gardeners. Gardening experience is preferred but full training will be given to the successful candidate. Enthusiasm, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to keep motivated are key qualities for this role.
The work involves general gardening to communal areas of blocks of flats and residential facilities. You will work as part of a two-person team and be given a setlist of properties that you will visit each week, giving you the opportunity to get to know the sites and improve the gardening standards. The position requires a valid, full driving license as you will be issued with a company vehicle to travel between properties.
We will provide a uniform, paid holidays, an optional workplace pension, and opportunities to progress within the business, and performance monthly bonus of £130.00.
DUTIES:
Primarily gardening of the communal areas of residential blocks of flats (as scheduled on the ‘Gardening Rota’ and weekly schedule, or as requested by a manager/supervisor):
Litter picking, Sweeping of hard standing areas, Sweeping out bin rooms, and disinfecting
Raking up of all arisings, Lawn mowing, Hedge cutting, Strimming, Blowing, Weeding
Pruning shrubs & Pruning trees (This means removing the lower limbs by means of a pole saw working from the ground – No tree climbing or ladder work is to be undertaken under any circumstances)
Digging, Edging lawns, Planting, and soft landscaping when instructed
Collection of bulk waste when instructed
Reporting back issues and problems found on-site to office staff
Working in a safe and responsible manner at all times
Following correct methods as described in the method statement in the Health and Safety Manual
Ensuring the use of correct PPE to carry out tasks
Ensuring correct use, maintenance, and safety of gardening tools

Salary: £11.70-£12.00 per hour
