We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Gardener to join our estates team.
Working 40 hours per week - shifts
As a Gardener you will assist the Estate Manager and the gardening team in achieving the highest standards of horticulture across the estate. Set within over 1,065 acres of Capability Brown landscape, the historic gardens offer a unique experience. As Gardener you will help care for all aspects of horticulture including the herbaceous borders, topiary parterres and restorations in the Victorian rock garden. Your duties will include vegetation clearance, shrub beds, grass cutting, stimming and mowing using ride-on and handheld machinery, hedge cutting by hand, grounds maintenance, general pruning and maintenance of trees as directed, weed control. This is a varied and interesting role giving the opportunity to further develop your skills within an experienced and friendly team.
What we are looking for:
A genuine passion for horticulture and previous experience as a gardener preferably on an estate or historic garden
- A team-player with a positive can-do attitude
- A keen eye for detail
- Have the ability to interact with colleagues and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Level 3 RHS qualification or equivalent an asset.
- Full riving license is desirable.
