Estates Gardener

our 45-acre estate consists of parkland, formal
lawns, wetlands, Japanese garden, mixed borders,
sports area, orchards, community allotments,
woodland and ponds.
Our grounds play host to many species and
habitats of wildlife, which we actively encourage
and support.

Northumbria in Bloom gold award for many years
In summary our Gardeners:
Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, development &
presentation of the estate
Ensure the safe operation, maintenance and
storage of all garden equipment and
machinery (compact tractors, ride-on mowers,
leaf blowers, all other general hand-held
gardening equipment and tools)
Support specific seasonal / project work
Support volunteers or residents in
horticultural workshops / wildlife activities
Think creatively, suggest new ideas and offer
solutions
The Opportunity:
Permanent contract
40 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Plus 2 hrs each Sat & Sun once/twice per
month & supporting events
Salary negotiable depending on experience
