Job Title: Garden Centre Assistant
Location: Secret Gardening Centre at Yorkshire Lavender
Job Type: Part-time
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our garden centre team as a Garden Centre Assistant. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service and support, picking and packing online orders, and managing payments in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide assistance with their shopping needs
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Pick and pack online orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle customer payments using a cash register and/or electronic payment systems
- Keep the sales floor and back-end areas organized and tidy
- Assist with stock control and replenishment as needed
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash and basic math skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic payment systems is a plus
