With a total of 13 incredible venues throughout the UK, we have ambitious plans and are never standing still. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior unity Developer to join our team.
The Job
As a Senior Unity Developer you will be working in the Red Engine Creative team, and alongside the Technology team will be responsible for building the next generation of our in-house gaming suite. You’ll work with our Game Developer, Games Artist & our in-house team of designers to engineer and build the gaming suite in Unity and integrate with our other in-house systems. This will run alongside feature improvements and updates to the existing in-venue software.
You'll be designing new features and gaming to support the brand as we grow. Innovation is one of our values so you’ll be keen to evaluate ideas and new technology to drive the product forward.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Working with stakeholders to develop and evolve the next iteration of the gaming product- Delivering clean, reliable code to support maintenance and scalability as the business grows
- Writing and maintaining unit tests
- Helping to optimise the software for our in-venue hardware
- Developing process for the continued update and delivery of new software
- Providing direction and mentorship to the wider Digital Gaming team
- Helping shape the future of the gaming product for the company
To be successful in this role, you’ll:
Have extensive commercial experience with Unity 3D and C#- Be comfortable profiling and optimising games
- Have experience working with hardware limitations in mind (e.g. mobile)
- Understand graphics, performance issues and trade-offs
- Have experience using of the in editor profiling and memory management tools
- Have experience using dependency injection via Extenject/Zenject
- Be comfortable using Agile/Scrum methodology
- URP scriptable pipeline experience a plus
- Shader writing a plus
