Avaliable Job Today Full time Funeral Operative required to work for a family business based in Honiton, Ottery St. Mary, Seaton and Axminster.

Duties will include:

· Participation in an on call rota (which includes working unsociable hours) and flexibility to cover holiday / additional days/nights. A minimum of one night per week and every third weekend on call.

· Preparing and ensuring the cleanliness of vehicles

· Bearing coffins and driving company vehicles

· Collecting deceased from a variety of locations for ourselves and on behalf of H. M. Coroner

· Preparing the deceased for viewings and the funeral

· Buildings maintenance, premises tidyness and cleaning

Completion of Health and Safety paperwork across premises

The ideal candidate will have:

· A clean, full UK manual driving Licence

· Experience of driving larger vehicles

· A good level of physical fitness, as this role will involve heavy lifting duties

· A genuine desire to help people at a difficult time in their lives

· Pride in their appearance, ensuring you are always professional

· The ability to react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances

· A caring and empathic nature

· A good eye for detail

· Determination to deliver excellent client services.

Salary: From £22,500.00 per year
