Hillside Paws for Life are seeking a confident and motivated individual to take on a full time KENNEL TECHNICIAN for our growing business.
We are looking for an outstanding, flexible, and positive person to provide top quality care in line with our high standards and values.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning out of kennels and whelping rooms daily
- Exercising of dogs daily
- The general care and husbandry of dogs/puppies
- Ensuring records are maintained for puppies/adult dogs
- Assisting with bathing/drying puppies/dogs
- Assisting with the breeding of dogs and the breeding process
The ideal candidate MUST be:
- DOG Kennel experience is desirable but not essential
- Punctual
- Not afraid of hard work
- Can work as part of a team as well as independently
- Have good physical stamina due to the demands of the role
Desirable:
- Driving licence/own transport
- Dog or puppy training in a professional capacity
This is a full-time role with 4 days being Monday-Friday and one weekend day Saturday or Sunday (on a rota basis with the rest of the team)
Hours are 8.30am- 4.30pm daily with 30 minutes for lunch
Salary: Meets national minimum wage (Salary would increase dependant on experience)
Annual Leave: Pro rata + for bank holidays
This is a 365 day a year operation so candidates must be available to work over Christmas, New year and bank holidays.
