Job description
As a Full Stack Software Engineer III with the Private Bank Trading Technology team at JPMorgan Chase, you will work as an experienced member of the agile team to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, deliver and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions that enhance business capabilities and modernize technology platforms- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Collaborates with business and technology partners in multiple regions and time zones to maximize value delivered
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Hands-on technical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages (Java Preferred)
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining resilient and secure codebases in an enterprise environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies (such as Scrum/Kanban)
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Deployment practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. public cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Demonstrated practical experience of cloud technologies (Preferred Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes)
- Experience with Temenos Transact/t24
