Reporting to the Head of Technical Operations you will be based out of our UK location and work across a range of functions from ongoing support of established practices, to developing new solutions aligned to internal development requirements, as well as upscaling and remodeling current systems.
Playing a key part in ensuring that our in-house architected platform will meet the ever-increasing demands of capacity, availability, and reliability through the provision of effective tools and platforms capable of, configuration, detailed real time reporting and threshold monitoring, your efforts will ensure we have the capacity to identify issues and intervene before they become service affecting. Through the evaluation of issues and incumbent designs you will be pivotal in ensuring the infrastructure is robustly represented with effective event notification. The complexity of the platform will demand you are resourceful and diligent when pursuing remedies and improvements alike.
A focused individual capable of working with other technical experts and collaborating to affect a positive and appropriate outcome. Familiar with microservices and conversant with, frameworks, docker, runtime platforms, databases and other technologies you will bring insight and expertise to the architecture & design of the platform with your extensive experience of modern programing languages and middleware skills to maintain the rapid development and maturity path of our systems.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Participate or lead in the design and support of functional systems aligned to evolving reliability requirements.
- Collaborate within the department to provide robust data functions, logging, and alerting.
- Design and implementation of heuristic processes
- Maintain a constant improvement culture.
- Ensure the security of solutions is maintained.
- Proficiency in Node.js and React
- Comfortable operating with testing frameworks, preferably in Jest.
- Demonstrable enperince with GIT
- Experience working with JIRA or similar tools
- Conversant with Docker development environments and deployments
- Experience of operational environments and demands
- Dashboard architecture design experience including authentication & authorization
- Presentation and design.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge with Typescripts and Python
- Experience with system orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Understand common cloud platforms, preferable in Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working with messaging tools, preferable in Pubsub.
- Working knowledge of SQL, preferable in BigQuery.
- Previous experience with MongoDB
