Fullstack Developer Intern

Diagonal Matrix Ltd is seeking a Full-Stack Developer Intern (Node.js, Angular.js, back-end) to join our team! This internship is to help students gain experience and participants have to come to work in Reading. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in Application Development.

As a Fullstack development Intern, you will learn and contribute to:

Job Description:

**Front-End Development:**

  • Creating visually appealing and responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implementing user-friendly designs and layouts.
  • Writing JavaScript code to add interactivity to web applications.
  • Using JavaScript frameworks and libraries like React, Angular, Node.js or Vue.js to build dynamic user interfaces.
  • Ensuring that web applications function correctly across different web browsers.
  • Designing and optimizing websites for mobile devices, tablets, and various screen sizes.
  • Optimizing web pages for faster load times and improved performance.
  • Ensuring web applications are accessible to individuals with disabilities by following accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).

**Back-End Development:**

  • Developing server-side logic and APIs using server-side programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, Java, or PHP.
  • Designing, creating, and maintaining databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) for storing and retrieving data.
  • Building and maintaining APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for communication between the front end and back end.
  • Implementing user authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure web applications.
  • Configuring web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx) and deploying web applications to hosting environments (e.g., AWS, Heroku).
  • Optimizing the performance of back-end systems and ensuring scalability to handle increased traffic and data.

**General Responsibilities:**

  • Using version control systems like Git to track changes and collaborate with team members.
  • Writing unit tests and conducting debugging to identify and fix issues in code.
  • Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
  • Creating documentation for code, APIs, and systems for reference and future maintenance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Managing tasks, timelines, and project requirements to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Implementing security best practices to protect web applications from vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Providing support to end-users and addressing issues as they arise.
