THE ROLE
This is a 'hands-on' and manual position focusing on the front-end of our operations, the receipt and unloading of inbound fuels (refuse derived waste) as well as ensuring that the walking floor is continuously loaded and operational.
The position will report into a Shift Team Leader and will also get involved in supporting other areas as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loader shovel operation and daily maintenance checks
- Reporting machine defects in a timely manner and assisting with routine system breakdown and fuel feed interruptions
- Telehandler operation
- Prepare, plan, coordinate and monitor fuel deliveries to site
- Working within the Bioenergy Infrastructure company safety rules and adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation at all times
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCES
We are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Biomass field.
We would however expect suitable applicants to have prior experiences of at least some of the following;
- Loader shovel or Telehandler licence
- Experience of and commitment to safe systems of work
- Effective written communication skills, sufficient to ensure equipment, safety and operational records are maintained to a good standard
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Strong team player
