We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong customer service skills to join our store on a permanent basis. Previous experience in fruit and vegetable prepping and packing is desirable but not essential.

About the Role
As a Fruit and Vegetable Packing Assistant, you will be responsible to prepare fresh products for retail sale by performing various duties including cutting, trimming and packaging fruit & vegetable.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Cut, weigh, wrap fresh fruits and vegetables, and put products on the shelves with the correct price label
- Be aware of any product that is out of stock and report to the store management team immediately
- Ensure the department to be organised according to the company’s visual merchandising standards·
- Ensure the company’s First In First Out procedures (date rotation principles) are followed ·
- Work with other colleagues to process and receive deliveries. This includes checking the quantity and quality, organising and placing the stocks neatly. ·
- Review pricing of all fruits and vegetables in relation to sales records and make amendments as needed ·
- Work with other colleagues to keep your working area clean and organised·
- Report all safety hazards and risk factors to a member of the store management team without delay in comply with the Company’s Health and Safety guidelines at all times ·
- Take initiative and support other departments when needed or when requested by store management team
Requirements:
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Previous experience in a retail environment will be an advantage
· Must have the legal right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
