Job Description
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Being part of a team developing policy positions in a range of topical areas, including demonstrating the ability to grasp complex issues quickly;
- Supporting the policy advisor on escalatory policy work and representing the organisation at meetings with stakeholders, other regulators and government. This will include giving presentations, drafting papers and evaluating current monitoring, escalation and enforcement policies;
- Overall administrative responsibility for the Road Expert Panel (REP) process and meetings;
- Working on and potentially managing projects looking at National Highways' current and future performance, ensuring a joined-up approach across the team;
- working on horizon scanning and other work about future roads policy as appropriate; and
- leading on team correspondence with stakeholders and the public; and
- responding to FOI's.
