This is a fantastic opportunity to join Sodexo Live! at St. James’ Park, Newcastle United Football Club for the new upcoming football season. Season 2023/24 is going to be the biggest yet, with NUFC taking on the Champions League.

With the opportunity to work at both Matchday and Non-Matchday Events, this is a great opportunity for driven individuals to succeed in a fast and innovative catering facility.

We are looking for outstanding customer focused individuals to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.


Main Responsibilities

The front of house role covers:

  • Waiting Staff
  • Drinks Service Staff
  • Kiosk Staff
  • Glass Collectors
  • Box Staff
  • Fine Dining Staff
  • Always adhere to company cash handling procedures.

  • To assist with setup prior to guests' arrival, ensuring all necessary mis en place and equipment is in place.

  • To complete any task assigned by a supervisor, always working proactively.

  • Providing the highest possible level of customer service, taking both food and beverage orders as required.

  • To assist with food service, which may be buffest service or a la carte dining.

  • To remain attentive to guest’s needs, working in a timely manner to minimise any wait times.

  • Ensuring all food and beverage products served are of the required standard, well presented, and served in line with service guidelines.

  • Extensive knowledge of all products stocked, and any applicable promotions.

  • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, with any effective equipment reported.

  • Clearing all used or unnecessary cutlery, crockery, glassware, or debris from guests' tables.

  • Reporting any guests' complaints,

  • To assist with the clear down of the area to the required level when service is complete.

  • Complete adherence to all licensing legislation, including that which is company specific.

  • Ensuring correct hygiene handling (processing) of food items is maintained.

  • Align with the companies Equality & Diversity policies.

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety, Food Safety & Food Allergens policies.

  • Experience is desirable.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Being friendly yet professional.

  • Being a team player with an ability to resolve conflict and take criticism.

  • Good attention to detail and punctuality.

  • Being proactive is key.
