Job description
Countrystyle Meats is a family run business, and we are looking for a candidate who would like the challenge of a split role covering both Front of house & Shop. This position is for 3-4 days per week. So come and join our busy team at our Lancaster Leisure Park facilities, Lancaster, LA1 3LA.
At Countrystyle we aim to serve our local community with an outstanding experience. We are looking for someone with a nice demeanour, a hardworking individual who can work as part of a team to deliver outstanding customer service every time.
The successful person must be able to greet and welcome our customers warmly, engaging with them to find out their eating or shopping needs.
Job role
· Ensure our customers are served in an efficient, friendly, and polite manner
· Greet each customer with a friendly and warm welcome
· Professionally deal with all customer queries
· Be passionate and knowledgeable about our products and services
· Always Think 25 when serving age restricted products
· Assist in the set-up of all service areas.
· Assist in the serving of meals / drinks to customers.
· Barista experience (advantageous)
· Take part in quarterly stock takes.
· Maintain all required records accurately.
· Ensure all duties are conducted in accordance with safety requirements, including food hygiene regulations.
· Ensure goods are rotated and handled with care.
· Always comply fully with food hygiene and health and safety requirements
· Help the business continue their strong relationship with the local community.
Skills
· Shop or Front of House experience (preferred but not essential as training will be given)
· Customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and confidently
· Good eye for detail
· Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively
· Ability to serve customers in a friendly, polite, and approachable manner
· Experience of working in food retail (preferred but not essential)
· Experience of working in a team
· Food Hygiene Compliant (preferred but not essential)
This position is not just a weekend role and will be on a rota basis each week. Applicants will need to be flexible about working hours and able to work weekends and Bank Holidays as part of a rota.
