The Front of House Receptionist is a key member within our team, delivering excellent customer service in our tatoo studio in the heart of Middlesbrough. This role is customer facing, therefore you will be the first point of contact when clients and visitors attend the premises.
We are looking for someone who will not only have customer relations at the forefront of their mind, but also be willing to take on other duties that come with being a Front of House Receptionist at Skins & Needles. This is for a part time position working 22.5 hours (extra hours may be available to cover annual leave).
Some of the responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- To assist and support all clients and visitors whilst they are on the premises, and ensure “Customer Service” values are maintained at all times (Drive and Deliver core values).
- Strong people management skills are required due to the nature of the studios' fast-paced working environment and the importance of booking appointments on behalf of studio artists.
- Ability to engage and motivate team members is imperative to achieve the business objectives in the short, medium and long term (the management team will set out targets and expectations). At all times, core values must be reinforced: Professionalism, Teamwork and A Can-Do Attitude.
- Ensure front of house and surrounding areas are clean and tidy and maintain expected overall hygiene standards. Support all artists and team members with any guidance and direction when required
- Support and help maintain social media presence via various channels and help produce and implement across all appropriate business hubs.
- Manage and maintain client bookings on behalf of artists; refresh and confirm all appointments. Ensure all cash, deposits, charges, float and till procedures are carried out by Company policy. To be familiar with the day to day running of the business, including appointments, cancellations and visitors expected on-premises.
- Offer artists, clients and visitors refreshments on arrival and on-premises, maintaining excellent customer service.
- Listen effectively to clients courteously and professionally, answer phone inquiries, act accordingly, and actively promote and inform clients of any promotions.
- Take ownership of opening and closing premises, ensure signage is displayed and maintain building security.

Person Specification and relevant experience / essential skills.
- Ideally a minimum of 1 years experience of working in a similar role.
- A genuine passion for customer care
- Ability to work in a team environment but confident enough to work independently also.
- Willingness to support and spend time researching information via the internet on behalf of artists.
- Excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude when helping colleagues and clients.
- Report daily to management on shift
- Work to tight deadlines whilst responding to last-minute changes.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- The ability to be organised with excellent communication skills and creativity in your approach
- Confident with speaking on the phone with the ability to support and advise customers with enquiries
- Friendly and outgoing
Desirable skills but not required
- Knowledge of the tattoo industry and various styles of artwork.
- Knowledge of CRM booking systems
