Could you be our next 'herd' member at The Ring Feeder? Exciting new front of house/barista position now available. Based in the heart of the South Hams we are surrounded by unspoilt farm land and stunning views. Not far from the a38 we are easy to find.
Full Time position
Role responsibilities:
- open/close procedures
- greet guests and seat them/take bookings in person/via the phone
- serve guests to the restaurant's standards and maintain a comfortable dining environment at all times
- inform the kitchen of any allergies, food requirements, complaints or changes to orders
- Help to maintain stock of necessary beverages and condiments & help put orders away
- keep your stations clear & clean set tables and other surfaces
- Take orders using both types of till
- make a variety of hot and cold drinks drinks
- confidently use an espresso machine (training provided)
- serve in the farm shop
Person specification
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- Excellent verbal communication
- Outstanding Customer Service Skills
- Great interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and Organised
- Able to remain composed, particularly during busy/stressful circumstances
- Physically fit
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Willingness to perform additional duties to facilitate the restaurant's operations, as needed
Hours and other info
Hours to be worked between 8.30am-5.30pm over a mixture of week and weekend days (weekend days split fairly between the team including one whole weekend off per month) on occasion you may be required to work outside of the hours mentioned
