Job description
The Wayfinding Designer role at Air is for a creative graphic designer, comfortable working on a wide range of projects for a variety of clients spanning multiple sectors and countries.
Responsibilities:
•Signage and wayfinding 2D; Environmental graphics 2D; Knowledge in BIM Software and 3D Rendering.
- Help the creative team see projects through from start to completion by working on any or all of the following stages, as required: Feasibility; Strategy; Concept design; Detailed design; Artwork/specification
- Assist the Senior Designer with project communications including, preparing project communications via email, conversations or other communication media
- Attending project briefing meetings and presentations when required
- Assimilate the design brief and be aware of any budget restrictions
- Develop and enhance the brief by gathering information through research
- Work as part of a team to deliver the best design solution
- Understand the expectation at each stage of the project in hand and work with any associated deadlines, sometimes very tight
- Ensure proposed design solution answers the client brief
- Ensure that within the ‘production’ stages of the project the work is accurate and technically proficient
- Helping to prepare plans, working from architects original drawings, importing and exporting, and carrying out accurate revisions
Essential Skills and Experience
- Degree in graphic design
- 1-5 years’ experience in wayfinding projects for commercial developers
- Experience working on large-scale projects
- Highly proficient software skills; 2D Adobe Creative Suite essential, 3D Autocad, 3DSMax, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience of working on concept, schematic and detailed design stages
- Budget and project-management awareness
