Rowfield Commercial is a firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers that specialise in providing commercial management, dispute resolution and project support services to the construction industry. We are headquartered in Cardiff, with offices in London.
We cater to employers, contractors or subcontractors, by utilising our commercial services that are designed to reduce risk and increase profitability on projects. We help to realise additional value through our in-depth understanding of the opportunities that each individual construction contract presents. We also provide project support services which specialise in the New Engineering Contract (NEC), Engineer and Construct Contract (ECC). We supply NEC ECC expert Project Managers, Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors or Project Planners to a various industries UK wide.
We also have a team of dual-qualified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) consultants, all elected Members (or Fellows) of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Charted Institute of Arbitrators. This allows us to deal with every aspect of the dispute resolution process, from assisting in negotiations to managing more formal processes such as mediation, adjudication and arbitration. We can act as your advocate or provide testimony in adjudication, arbitration or litigation proceedings as an independent expert witness. Rowfield is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
General Accountability:
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Senior Project Manager will support our client organisations and will be competent in managing all aspects of the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to manage stakeholders of all levels, have a track record of meeting time and budgetary requirements and be an advocate of health and safety on sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Successfully deliver on time and budget as per the clients goals and objectives
- Responsible for producing all management reports and providing on-going status of the project to the client at all levels of seniority.
- Lead and manage and oversee project budget, project schedules and project control budgets
- Manage all project functions related to project management, site management, project control, engineering management, procurement, construction management and commissioning to meet the project(s) goals
- Manage NEC 3/4 contracts on behalf of the client
- Maintain positive working relationships with the client and all stakeholders
- Identify risks and ensure operational impacts are minimised
- Manage QA/QC programs are effectively established
- Monitor and conduct reviews of detailed designs and drawing specifications
- Lead and manage commissioning process on behalf of the client
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of B.S. degree in STEM subject and APM PMQ
- Preferably Masters in STEM or MBA
- Preferably Chartered Engineer or Project Manager
- 2+ years of electrical transmission experience
- 10+ years of project and programme management experience
- 10+ years of electricity industry experience
- Strong track record of NEC 3/4 contract management
- Strong track record of successfully completed projects in the Electricity industry
- Experience in managing design and development of projects
- Experience in capital project management from £10M to £100M plus;
- Recognised safety competency such as NEBOSH or IOSH (for managers)
London and Greater London area. Outside IR35.
