General Summary& Responsibilities
The role of the Vehicle Make Ready Operative within Medicare EMS Group Ltd are to replace and replenish vital equipment within a variety of ambulances and emergency vehicles. Incorporated within this role is the deep cleaning (both exterior and interior) of our extensive fleet utilising pre-approved rigorous processes and a range of specialist cleaning equipment, whilst also ensuring that all cleaning records are completed accurately and on time. Additionally, working closely with the Operations team you will need to know about all the specialist equipment involved on an ambulance or first-response vehicle. Set shift times will be 22:00 - 07:00 with a pattern of 4 days on 4 days off but working hours may vary and the required person must have flexibility to work rota hours, additional hours, weekend, nights and bank holidays.
General Experience & Qualifications Required
The duties of this role are to supervise the day to day operations and performance of a Make Ready centre, vehicles and consumables. In particular, the role is responsible for:
- Locally managing the equipment tracking (RFID) system to identify shortfalls of equipment/consumables service and maintenance compliance
- To act on your own initiative to ensure the continuation of Make Ready Services within the area of responsibility to maximise ambulance availability for the delivery of patient care
- Ensuring sufficient stock is held to meet operations needs and to order stock as required to ensure sufficient availability at all times
- The cleanliness and serviceability of emergency ambulances, equipment and consumables with availability levels exceeding trust standards
- The completion of key performance indicators within set timeframes
- Ensuring the working area always remains clean and ready for use

· Excellent communication skills
· Full UK driving license
· DBS clearance required
· Own transport essential
· Good IT Knowledge
