Job description
At Eurostar we’re busy making Europe’s most loved travel experience better than ever. Join us and you’ll be part of a dynamic, connected, cosmopolitan team that feels at home in four countries and shares the same goal – to create an experience for our passengers that’s always truly exceptional. Do you want to be part of this journey?
An opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as its Fraud Prevention Specialist. Your role will be to protect Eurostar Group’s revenue through prevention, detection and reporting of customer fraud, and by reviewing reported revenues and identifying opportunities to minimise revenue leakage.
Eurostar is an international high-speed rail service connecting the United Kingdom with France, Belgium and the Netherlands. In March 2022, the European Commission provided clearance for the project to combine Eurostar and the Belgium high-speed rail operator Thalys. The combination will be realised by establishing a common holding company for both businesses.
Together as the Eurostar Family, Eurostar and Thalys aim to grow an environmentally friendly high speed rail travel company connecting major cities across Northern Europe. The combined Group’s ambition is to achieve the highest operational and environmental standards, leveraging mutual resources (fleets, as well as information and distribution systems) and offering customers an attractive and more environmentally friendly alternative to road and air transport.
Prior to the onset of Covid-19, Eurostar had annual revenues of more than £1.0bn and generated EBITDA of over £100m. Following the easing of travel restrictions in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic, customer confidence and sales booking trends are recovering strongly.
The primary focus of this role will be to drive down chargebacks by identifying fraud trends and taking corrective action.
This position is based on our head office in King’s Cross and we offer hybrid working.
