Our Nightshift Hygiene Crews at our two sites in Fife carry out a variety of cleaning duties to industry standards alongside Hygiene Controllers. As a team they ensure our production machinery is cleaned and handed back to Production on schedule with their requirements.
Applications are invited from those who can demonstrate excellent team player skills as well as an ability to work on their own initiative. Previous relatable experience is highly desirable, however training will be provided.
An awareness of or willingness to learn food hygiene standards and food safe chemical use is essential. This role has responsibility to ensure our production equipment meets every required standard in hygiene terms.

Our Ideal Candidate:
~ Experience in working in the hygiene industry and H&S experience is desirable but not essential
~ Physical abilities suited to the role/reasonable fitness levels
~ Awareness of time management when on a schedule to return machinery to night shift production teams
~ Ability to work autonomously, using initiative and applying common sense to situations
~ Open to take guidance from your Controller
~ Excellent attention to detail
~ Good communication and interpersonal skills - basic understanding of verbal and written English
~ Working at height, cherry picker and / or scissor lift experience is beneficial but not essential
What does the job involve?
> Use of various hygiene machinery and chemicals to aid cleaning
> Ensure all our production equipment in the factory (machinery, belts etc.) are cleaned to the highest of standards
> Communication with your controller and team regarding areas of risk
> Being aware of maintenance issues and reporting where necessary
> Being part of continuous hygiene improvements
> Other hygiene related requirements when required, outwith the factory area
> Ongoing awareness and partaking in chemical training and knowledge building

Where could your future lie?
As part of the Hygiene Operative role, there is a lot of scope to receive additional skills with training as detailed above. Many people come in at Hygiene Operative level and work towards promotion to Hygiene Controller.
There is also a wealth of opportunities internally once you are on board that can take you in any direction you wish to consider.

<> How will you get to and from site for the shift you are applying for? Please consider before applying if relying on public transport.
<> Can you prove your right to work in the UK? We will ask for original documentation. Passport or birth certificate and official proof of National Insurance Number. If you do not have these documents, we would not be able to offer you a start date. Birth Certificates and NI proof can easily be applied for, so we would ask you do this before sending in your application.
<> Non-UK Residents will be asked to supply their Home Office Share Code prior to attending any recruitment event.
<> We are a 364 days a year company, closed only on Christmas Day.
We are unable at the present time to offer shifts suitable for students with any restricted working hours during term time (usually 20 hours).
The Recruitment Process
To help you decide if we are the employer for you, we offer On-site Recruitment Events. You will be part of a small group of candidates, and we take you through a presentation on our history, the role, and some finer details. You will then get the chance to tour our site with one of our Hygiene team to see for yourself what goes on in the big green shed!
