You will be part of the NW&C Region which consist of three routes North West, Central and West Coast South and a regional team supporting Regional Major Programmes & Professional services.

Brief Description
Starting salary £34,050 raising to £38,305 per annum.
What will you be doing?
The purpose of this role is to act as the key interface with the TOC for all contractual issues. In the role you will also develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the TOC in order to meet Network Rails business objectives. The post holder will work to optimise the financial outcome from performance regimes and by minimise contractual claim payments.
About the role (External)
Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Manage the contractual relationship with the TOCs on all issues including performance, access conditions, access agreements, invoicing and claims.
2. Communicate and challenge within and outside Network Rails organisation so the TOCs contractual rights are met.
3. Manage the delivery of Improvement Plans specific to the TOCs.
4. Lead all negotiations on changes to the TOCs Track Access Contract.
5. Manage the contractual elements of the TOCs performance regimes to minimise payments and identify opportunities for improving processes.
6. Hold responsibility for both Network Rails compliance and the TOCs compliance with the terms of the contractual agreements.
7. Assist the Head of Franchise Management in delivery of TOC requirements.
8. Identify, manage and delver improvement projects for both the TOC and Network Rail.
9. Support the identification of continuous improvement plans.
In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:
Essential
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent
- Previous experience in a commercial environment
- Commercially astute, persuasive and customer focussed
- Proven ability to negotiate in a complex commercial environment
- Knowledge of relevant contracts and contractual environment
- Previous experience of managing contractual relationships
- Literate, analytical and numerate
Desirable
- Effective team leader with proven presentational and inter personal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the railway business
- Comprehensive understanding of the railway industry structure and contractual relationships

Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised.
Salary: Band 4B, starting salary £34,050 raising to £38,305 per annum.
