Job description
We are looking for multiple Tube Foundry Operatives to join our team based in Billingham. This is a full-time, permanent role, working 38 hours per week on shifts to manufacture centrifugally cast tubes and in return as our Foundry Operatives, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.

Responsibilities of our Foundry Operatives will include:
- Pour molten metal into spinning dies.
- Monitoring temperatures of moulds / molten steel as directed by charge-hand.
- Completing manufacture of casting a tube & removing tube from a die using hand tools, manual handling techniques.
- Preparing refractory materials for use in manufacturing.
- Setting up moulds, cups and ladles as directed by charge hand to begin tube manufacture.
- Brush out and spray up production moulds.
- Grinding of moulds / tubes as directed.
- Stamping tubes to maintain traceability.
- Taking test samples as directed by charge hand.
- Lift & sling moulds, tubes, and containers with use of cranes.
- General 5S housekeeping / Operator PPM.
- Work safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy’s safety standards and procedures.
What we’re looking for in our Foundry Operatives:
- Previous manufacturing and factory experience
- The ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- An adaptable and flexible attitude to work
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- A good understanding of health & safety, environmental issues and quality rules
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Pendant Crane, Lifting & Slinging experience would be advantageous
- Foundry experience would be advantageous
