Job description
Established for over 40 years and now one of the North West’s leading Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit a Production Assistant to join our expanding team based in Darwen, Lancs.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials and products across the manufacturing facility
- Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and storage areas
- Stack and organize products and materials in designated areas
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions or damages
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets
- Assist in other general warehouse duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Driving license essential
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Valid forklift operator certification (Forklift License)
- Solid understanding of forklift safety procedures and ability to adhere to all safety guidelines
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Darwen, Lancashire
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday 8.00am-5.00pm Friday- 8.00am-2.00pm
