Job description

Established for over 40 years and now one of the North West’s leading Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit a Production Assistant to join our expanding team based in Darwen, Lancs.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials and products across the manufacturing facility
• Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and storage areas
• Stack and organize products and materials in designated areas
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions or damages
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets
• Assist in other general warehouse duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Driving license essential
• Proven experience as a Forklift Driver in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Valid forklift operator certification (Forklift License)
• Solid understanding of forklift safety procedures and ability to adhere to all safety guidelines
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Working Location/Environment

Darwen, Lancashire

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday 8.00am-5.00pm Friday- 8.00am-2.00pm
