PMO Support Analyst
Up to £478/day Outside IR35 - Contract until 31/12
As a VMO Delivery Support Analyst you will support the Portfolio Delivery Director and Portfolio Planning Manager in delivering Portfolio VMO services and establishing VMO capabilities. You will also support the implementation of the Portfolio Management ways of working within the organisation, improving organisational agility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support successful delivery execution through the adoption of execution patterns, standard Portfolio measures (e.g. enterprise RAID, reporting, planning, benefits, financial management).
- Help ensure governance is fast and effective e.g., through the preparation of timely, compliant reporting on progress for key stakeholder meetings.
- Support the Portfolio Delivery Director and Portfolio Planning Manager to identify, manage, track and support reporting of consistent and coherent metrics on outcome progress, flow, quality and employee satisfaction and engagement to help prove value is being delivered in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Support the Portfolio Delivery Directors and Delivery Community with forecasting and managing of resource capacity to ensure capacity aligns with demand through team / value stream cross-resourcing, interaction with functions / CoEs, and through recruitment support and support / operate a cadence that enables this across value-streams.
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the VMO services provided and ensure their correct implementation, supporting continuous improvement establishing VMO capabilities.
- Ensure cooperation of teams within portfolios by identifying and managing cross portfolio dependencies to exploit the opportunities that exist in the interconnections between teams and value streams.
- Support in identifying & managing risks, impediments, and dependencies.
- Support the adoption of successful execution patterns, creation of standard program measures, and development and application of reporting across the portfolio via a new tooling implementation.
General Experience
- Experience of working in a Value Management Office (VMO)/Project Management Office or equivalent capability.
- Ability to work across organisational teams and stakeholders, deploying strongly consultative interpersonal traits.
- Experience of collation, analysis and dissemination of information or data.
- Working knowledge of a variety of delivery approaches e.g. SAFe, Lean-Agile, Scrum, DSDM and Waterfall.
- Willingness to champion ideas in initially uncertain environments, facilitating decision-making and developing others to allow decentralised decision-making.
