We are currently looking for a Forensic Case Administrator (Reporting Admin) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will provide general administrative support to the scientific staff in the Forensic Reporting team and liaise with our wide range of customers.
Full in person training will be provided, with expectations clearly set and regularly reviewed. There are also progression opportunities within the Admin team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Answering internal and external telephone calls using in-house systems to resolve enquiries.
- Print DNA results (EPG’s) for the Reporting Scientists from PDF’s and using interpretation software.
- Email results letters, statements and delivery notes to customers as well as dispatching physical copies to customers where required.
- Scanning and photocopying of case files.
- Monitor and manage mailboxes, action both internal and external requests.
Please note the position is a non-scientific based Administrative role with career progression opportunities through the Administrative teams. This role may also consist of frequent exposure to crime scene photos of a sensitive/disturbing nature.
The full-time hours for this position are 37.5 hours a week; Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (1 hour lunch). Some Saturday working on a rotating shift (07:30 - 15:30 with a 30 minute lunch).
Whilst job experience isn’t necessary you will need to have a high level of accuracy, excellent attention to detail and be capable of working well under pressure. You must be flexible and able to work on own initiative with a proactive approach to problem-solving. At times the role is fast paced and once trained you will assist in prioritising and working as a team to complete tasks. You will also be required to have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
