Tomlinson is looking for a Foreman to lead our Residential Projects. This individual provides leadership, schedules, coordinates, supervises and ensures the productivity and safety of the work crew, and the public. As a key participant in the relationship with the client, consultants and the company, the Foremen acts as a management liaison and a client interface.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervision of the lay out, assembly and installation of various materials in consultation with project superintendent or manager to plan sequencing and schedule for field installation.

• Coordinating and supervising daily activities of team 3 to 10 people.

• Responsible for establishing a safe work environment that complies Health & Safety program.

• Interacting with other company supervisors, inspectors and clients

• Following the project plans and schedules and ensuring that the crew’s daily and weekly activities meet production goals.

• Ordering through dispatch the proper equipment, materials and workforce for the following days activities.

• Obtaining and preparing grade sheets from construction plans

  
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years experience in construction industry.

• Lead Hand or Acting Forman experience for 3+ years.

• Journeyman trade certification in a relevant trade considered an asset.

  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work on a construction site, Exposure to all elements – snow, cold, rain, heat etc..

• Foremen will be supplied with a company pickup truck and are responsible for keeping materials and tools in a secure location.

• Long hours required, night and weekend work required, on call after hours in case of jobsite emergencies.
