Flexible working hours:
Monday through Thursday: 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Friday: 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Saturday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
- Contact applicants and students about next steps and needed documents.
- Meet with applicants and students to explain program requirements.
- Document appointments and processes, share orientation materials, process admissions materials, and maintain records.
- Prepare for and document appointments, answer emails, complete audits, and process forms.
- Refer students to appropriate university resources.
- Maintain a clear understanding of applicable federal, state, and University policies and procedures.
- Send frequent reminders including: registration, payment, and course reminders.
- Follow up with enrolled students.
- Manage a large volume of inquiries.
- Introduce technological tools to students and support students in their use.
- Analyze and submit student data reports.
- Contact disengaged students as needed.
- Help students identify, develop, and implement learning strategies and study skills.
- Identify barriers to student success in retention and graduation rates.
- May regularly be scheduled to work outside of normal business hours.
- Work with graduate advisors and program coordinators to ensure students receive program materials and follow correct course sequence.
- Assist with and represent the College of Education at events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least one (1) year of experience working with college students and/or adolescents.
- Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Solid written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities in both team and individual work environments.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of experience working with college students and/or adolescents.
- Customer service experience.
- Accuracy in assessing and articulating student information to faculty and administrators and in interpreting institutional rules and regulations and other information.
- Experience working in a college or university, particularly in admissions and/or recruitment of college/university students.
- Knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) policy.
