Our client is a leading ambient food manufacturer based in the North East are seeking a Forecast Analyst to be responsible for creating, monitoring and delivering an accurate forecast to the business.
This role will be ideal for a Business or Finance Graduate looking for an opportunity to work within a fast paced manufacturing environment or a Forecast Analyst with some planning experience.
Your main duties will include:
- Carry out reviews with Sales and Marketing teams to build, understand & challenge a rolling 12 month forecast at account and SKU level.
- Monitor, measure, trend, coordinate, input and publish changes on a weekly basis. Ensuring forecast commentary is issued to Sales & Supply Chain on a timely basis.
- Run monthly forecast accuracy reports analysing and monitoring trends by SKU and account recommending and implementing actions to continually improve accuracy & bias.
- Act as front line contact for daily queries from Inventory Planning and Customer Services teams on sales v. forecast issues and re-visit forecast as necessary.
- Focus on demand during periods of promotional activity to make sure that the right stock is built up prior to the activity and that there is no excess stock left over post promotion.
- Working with the Sales team you will provide a forecast of customer order/sales requirements and communicate these through the business.
- To provide accurate, reliable & timely forecasts by customer by sku.
- Drive continuous improvement to forecast accuracy and forecast bias.
Skills and Experience:
· Confident with large data sets
· Operate Excel at an advanced level, experience working vlookups, sum-ifs, creating & manipulating pivot tables
· SAP/ERP experience
· Stock Inventory knowledge & evidence of understanding principals involved
· Strong inquisitive intellect & analytical skills
· Tenacity & data management skills
· Ability to work cross functionally as a team
· Ability to be set a task and complete on your own
· Great communication & interpersonal skills

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
