Schallenberg International Limited are a solely owned, leading Freight Forwarding, Warehousing & Logistics Company, located in Felixstowe.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced individual to join our current Warehouse & Transport Operations team within a fast paced environment

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of Warehouse & Transport Operations and will have previously worked within a fully operational environment of similar nature

Key Responsibilities

• To support the administration of the department to ensure that accurate processes are carried out and recorded promptly and to ensure good communication with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• To assist when required the day-to-day activity of the business
• To assist with maintaining department records per company policy and procedures
• To deal with telephone and email enquiries
• Maintain department stock databases ensuring sufficient information is available for correct identification
• Monitor customer stock needs ensuring sufficient stock is available to fulfil request
• Ensure that all daily stock control tasks are conducted in a timely and accurate fashion
• Physically count any stock queries when required
• Assist with customer service queries via email or telephone
• Produce relevant stock reports
• Liaise with transport to arrange collection or delivery of good
• Allocate / release orders
• Ensure operational KPI’s are met on a daily / weekly basis

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal and able to communicate internally and externally with customers and suppliers
• High standard of computer literacy including Microsoft packages (Excel and Word)
• Experience of working within an office environment
• Experience of working within a database application
• Understanding of warehousing and supply chain
• Good time management skills
• Be adaptable, driven and proactive
• Experience with Port Systems (Destin8 & CNS)
• Full UK driving licence

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £25,000.00 per year

• Warehouse/Transport Operations: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
