Overview of Barista & Front of House Position:

This is your opportunity to hone the craft of being an expert-level barista! As a Barista & Front of House Staff at aroma espresso bar, you are primarily responsible for crafting superior-quality espresso-based beverages and other drinks, while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, demonstrating a strong knowledge of coffee, and our drink and food menu, operating the cash/POS, dispatching orders, and paying strong attention to details to ensure our customers receive a top-quality experience.

Job details:

• Acting as an ambassador of the brand: always being courteous and professional while assisting our guests with friendly, knowledgeable, and inviting communication
• Preparing espresso-based, and other beverages according to our recipes with keen attention to quality and presentation
• Meeting the brand's operating policies and standards at all times
• Clearly communicating with team members to ensure smooth service between dispatch, coffee bar and kitchen
• Maintaining a fully stocked espresso bar: keeping track of inventory as needed, restocking and strictly following food safety protocols
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitization at your station and throughout the cafe.
• Operate efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment
• Facilitating orders and completing transactions through POS and other sales platforms
• Opening duties may include baking, opening the espresso bar, etc.
• Closing duties may include closing the bar and POS system and cleaning
• Always maintain punctuality and attendance with or without reasonable accommodations
• Available to perform many different tasks within the café, during each shift, as may be assigned from time to time by your manager or shift leader, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in customer service or as a barista would be preferred, but not mandatory.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work efficiently and respectfully with other team members
• Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail and presentation
• A passion great coffee, fresh food and for serving customers
• A positive attitude
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early opening and late closing of the cafe, weekends and holidays as business requires
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
• Work permit required
