The opportunity:

You’ll be working in a busy kitchen, feeding our tenants and sometimes their family and visitors too. You’ll be assisting the chef to create delicious and nutritious meals for the tenants. You may also be asked to prepare the dining areas and clear them up after dinner so if you enjoy working in a clean and tidy environment, or enjoy creating clean work areas, this is the role for you as we ensure our kitchens, equipment and dining rooms are always squeaky clean!

What we need from you:

  • Communication skills – as you’ll be a member of the kitchen team, you’ll be working with many people, from the Chef and assistant chef to the service managers and our tenants. So, you’ll have to be approachable and friendly and enjoy a good chat!
  • Working knowledge of health and safety procedures – getting the job done safely is key. You’ll need to have a Basic Food Hygiene certificate and knowledge of basic dietary and nutritional requirements. If you have a first Aid certificate, let us know! If not, don’t worry as we’ll provide training and support you through it.
  • An Enhanced DBS check will need to be carried out for this role.

What we will offer in return:

  • Free Uniform
  • Free DBS
  • Free onsite parking
  • Excellent work life balance –no evening work or long shifts. You’ll work every other weekend, so you can plan ahead and know when you’ll be working around other commitments.
