- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field.
- Experience leveraging technology to make process improvements.
- Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience developing food safety programs across the EU or across multiple countries or sites.

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our EU Food Safety and Compliance team as a Food Safety Operations Manager. This position will focus on managing the operational implementation of programs built to ensure customer safety as well as business compliance. The role will be involved in various businesses across the EU working across the stages and operational processes of the food supply chain from the time food enters our sites all the way through to its delivery to customers. The individual must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills, a high bar for safety, strong customer obsession, and a track record of operating in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced up environment.
Key job responsibilities
This role will support business leaders within Amazon EU and responsibilities include:
- Developing and improving risk based food safety programs across EU.
- Work with stakeholders to provide food safety requirements to improve customer experience.
- Working with Operations teams to execute the implementation of risk based programs.
- Creating data or using existing data to articulate business risk to leaders.

- Understanding of industry standards and hygienic design requirements.
- Experience using and suggesting improvements to product management technology; including customer feedback trending software, facility auditing software, response management software and facility compliance databases.
- HACCP plan development experience (intermediate or advanced HACCP training)
- Ability to travel within the EU
- Six Sigma/FMEA experience
