Job Summary
This is a key strategic role within the Central Operations team that will shape strategies and procedures in Food Safety, H&S and Compliance ensuring the business maintains standards today and for future development and growth. The Food Safety & Compliance Manager will establish, implement & audit the companies food safety policies and procedures as well as business wide health & safety guidelines to drive improvements in our safety culture in stores and HQ. The role will be based in our International HQ in Milton Keynes, with field travel in the UK expected at times to meet the requirements of our third-party partners and franchise stores leaning on advisory and hands on behaviours.
Roles and Responsibilities
- You will review, develop, implement and audit the following:
- Food, Health and Safety Policies [operations manuals]
- Training program/guidance in both food and health and safety
- Risk assessment and method statement
- PJUK relationship ownership of Primary Authority & NSF for internal audit program
- Fire Risk assessments & Fire Safety
- Awareness, execution and reporting of general legislative requirements for commercial QSR businesses
- Tracking, analysis and action planning for performance improvement
- Develop Business continuity processes
- Operational best practice regarding all business processes concerning H&S
- Close working relationship with UK and International leadership teams
- Delivered in partnership with various cross functional teams to advise, train and improve business health & safety performance
Experience
- Level 4 Food Safety Certificate or equivalent
- Level 4 NEBOSH General Certificate
- HACCP and Food Safety program knowledge
- Solid understanding of UK legislation
- Experience managing health and safety for a franchise/multi-site food business
- Auditing experience in Health and Food Safety
- Ability to carry out investigations, identifying root causes creating general and specific preventative and corrective action plans
