JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for Food Runners to join our team, working alongside our kitchen and waiting staff. Applicants MUST be minimum of 16 yrs old to apply for this job (leaving school this summer 2023).

Food Runner responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. If you’d like to gain experience in the restaurant industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we’d like to meet you. To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
  • Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
  • Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
  • Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
  • Remove dirty dishes and utensils
  • Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous food runner experience would be an advantage, but full training will also be given
  • Presentable
  • Willing to learn
  • Good at time keeping

WORKING HOURS & DAYS:

Normal food runner hours are evenings 5.30-9.30 Monday to Thursday, Friday to Sunday day & evening shifts are available. 2-4 shifts available per week. During school holidays extra shifts will be available within the days.

HOURLY WAGE:

Starting wage is £5.50- £6.00 per hour (based on 16yr old), PLUS tips on top of the hourly wage (approx extra £1 per hour). Hourly wage will vary depending on applicant age and will increase to meet & exceed national minimum wage levels. We pride ourselves in always offering well above the national minimum wage for ALL our staff.
