JOB POSTING
Title: DZ Driver – Hazardous Waste – Dangerous Goods
Reporting to: Logistics
Skill/Qualifications:
· Must possess a valid DZ license
· Must have a clean abstract
· Must have tanker/liquid transport experience
· Must possess excellent communication skills
· Must be customer service oriented
· Experience with border crossing an asset
· Experience with transport of manifested materials an asset
· 2 years or more of experience in this environment
Main Duties:
· Deliver and/or pick up goods in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal guidance
· Ensure correct processing of documents, including manifests
· Perform pre/post trip inspections
· Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation of vehicle, carriage of goods, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration
· Maintain a clean driving record and drive safely and professionally, obeying all traffic rules at all times
· Assist in plant when not driving, including shunting, loading and unloading tankers
· Provide customer focused services in all activities and maintain good working relationship
· Respond to emergencies and help with the spills clean-up
· Housekeeping to maintain a safe work area and clean truck
· Some overtime, as required
· Other duties as requested by Supervisor
Other Requirements:
· Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, criminal record check, driving record check (abstract), medical exam may be required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
