Fortnum & Mason are looking for a Food & Drink Studio Assistant - this is a unique role which will assist in the delivery of experiences in a highly innovative and live space, platform and home of extraordinary food and drink and outstanding customer experience.

Working closely with the Food & Drink Studio and 3’6 Events Manager, this is a role that will require a can-do attitude, a high degree of dexterity, imagination and flair, affinity to our brand and values, and an ability to engage with customers and our teams on a cross functional basis to create outstanding experiences and moments that bring our purpose, We Make Joy, to life every day.

Extraordinary experiences

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Support on the delivery of a calendar that brings to life key attributes of the studio and floor, around innovation, sustainability, craft and creation that can be used on a multichannel basis and at all customer touchpoints
  • Demonstrate high levels of planning, organisation, and time management to help drive the operational execution of all events in the Food & Drink Studio, and across other areas of the 3rd floor, as needed.
  • Day to day duties, including setting up and clearing the spaces, testing equipment ensuring the experience runs smoothly for customers and clients.

We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:

  • Outstanding people skills – a keen listener, intellectually curious, highly observant with a good eye for detail
  • A positive can-do, proactive, problem-solving attitude. Someone who can learn by watching and is confident to ask questions when they don’t understand or flag concerns when they arise
  • Ability to oversee the busy and demanding schedule of the Food & Drink Studio, in the absence of the Food & Drink Studio and 3’6 Events Manager, or the Food & Drink Studio Producer, when needed.
  • Resilient and capable of working through times of intense pressure
  • Ability to always challenge and build credibility with a wide range of audiences and work with integrity/confidentiality
