Job Title: IT Equipment and Distribution Coordinator
Contracted Salary: $90,000 for 18 months (grant funded) | No Benefits
Schedule: Hybrid Role, May require evenings; and weekend availability
Work Location: Hybrid in Winston-Salem, NC
Ability to commute/relocate: No relocation expenses are provided. Must live in Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or have reliable transportation to commute or plan to relocate before starting work. (Required)
License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
Reports to: FCDE Program Director
Contractual Liability Coverage: Must provide or be eligible for General Liability Insurance and/or Professional Liability Insurance
Position Description
The Forsyth County Digital Equity (FCDE) Committee seeks a talented and passionate professional to serve in a contractual role as FCDE. IT Equipment and Distribution Coordinator. The IT Equipment and Distribution Coordinator will be an independent contractor for WinstonNet and will receive a 1099 at year's end. The IT Equipment and Distribution Coordinator will oversee the device inventory and distribution of 1250 devices for the pilot project and provide technical support as needed to other team members and clients.
The IT Equipment and Distribution Coordinator's schedule will be a hybrid format, including in-person at device inventory and distribution sites. Additional duties accomplished remotely.
This position will be in effect for up to 18 months.

Special Requirements
- Must reside in Forsyth County or the surrounding area
- No relocation expenses will be provided
- Occasional evenings and weekends as required
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding of basic computer/network concepts and terms
- Experience with inventory management and asset tracking
- Experienced background in computer troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Stand/walk for 5-8 hours at a time
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends, nights, holidays, and rotating shifts from days to nights
- Must be able to bend and lift equipment throughout the shift
Required Skills
- Experience in maintaining inventory levels, including storage and procurement
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize work based on project objectives
About the Forsyth County Digital Equity Committee
The FCDE Committee is combined of community members and representatives of the public, private, and nonprofit sectors who came together in 2020 with the goal of achieving digital equity countywide. There are five main components of digital inclusion that must be addressed in order to close the digital divide within a community:
1) access to affordable, robust broadband Internet service
2) Internet-enabled devices that meet the needs of the user
3) access to digital literacy training
4) quality technical support
5) applications and online content designed to enable and encourage self-sufficiency and participation
