Are confident, professional, and committed to customer service?

If you're confident, and thrive in a busy bar and restaurant environment, then you'll be a great fit in our Food Beverage team.

We're looking for someone who excels at creating a fantastic customer experience. Well-presented with great communication skills, your passion for outstanding service and love for good food and drink really comes across. A can-do attitude and experience working in a restaurant or bar would put you in a strong position too.

Your role will involve working as part of the team to deliver high quality service for all guests and visitors to the hotel. You'll assist guests and handle requests efficiently, as well as serve throughout the day, from breakfast to dinner. Confident and quick to learn about both our menus and the hotel, you'll be confident upselling dishes, wine and the hotel's amenities.

What we offer

  • £10.50 per hour (equivalent to a salary of £24K - 26k per annum based on full-time hours)
  • 100% service charge, up to approx £2000 per year
  • Attractive staff uniform
  • Flexible working pattern
  • Training and development opportunities including SVQ’s and professional qualifications

  • Discounted rates across our group of hotels for accommodation and food beverage for you and your friends family
  • Personal membership to Perkbox offering a range of offers and discounts
  • Pension
  • Long Service Recognition
  • Pet Bereavement Day
  • Contribution towards driving lessons
  • Charitable fund raising matched up to £250
  • Paid day off on your birthday each year

Do you love your work and always know exactly what your clients need?

Then we want to work with you!

Our team thrive on delighting guests, and that's important because we welcome the return of many loyal Loch Fyne fans every year. Just now there are some big changes happening at the hotel, so we need more hospitality enthusiasts to join us on the next step of our exciting journey.

But we're also after someone who does their homework before telling their mum they're away to move to Inveraray. It's a lifestyle choice, to live in the heart of Argyll, on the west coast of Scotland.

Inveraray is just a wee town on the edge of Loch Fyne, with lots of quaint old white washed buildings. In the summer, tourists pack out the castle and infamous Inveraray Jail. Things get pretty quiet in the winter.

If you love seafood, you'll love the fresh local oysters from Loch Fyne. It's Scotland's longest sea loch - which is gorgeous, but can also feel remote. Inveraray is 90 minutes from Glasgow and you have to make the scenic drive all the way around the top of the loch to get there. The nearest train station is Oban, an hour by car, or buses go to Glasgow every two hours.

Three reasons to choose a career with Crerar Hotels

  • Destination locations

Scotland provides a sought-after quality of life, ideal for outdoorsy types. Urbanites may find there are limitations, with reduced public transport, small local shops and occasionally - the ultimate modern hardship - patchy phone signal. But those who take that in their stride find that they discover true peace and quiet, wake up to incredible scenery and have Scotland's natural larder to feast on daily.

  • Talent development

We always aim to progress staff internally where possible, which means a number of our team have been with us long-term. They've chosen to make a life in one (or more!) of our locations, building themselves a varied career in the Scottish hospitality industry.

  • Shaped by our values

We share the spirit of Scotland through our values. We take pride in providing a truly authentic experience; we're warm in personality, curious to get to know our guests and confident in sharing our knowledge. We take what we do seriously, but our humour means we also see the lighter side. Above all, we're comfortable saying, "we are who we are!"
