We are looking to welcome Front of House Assistants to join our delightful Restaurant teams.
In the IKEA world, we call this position a Food Co-worker.
Expected Starting Date: 30th July 2022
WHAT WE OFFER
Due to Health & Safety regulations, applicants must be over the age of 18.
Part Time: 16 hours per week working 4 days 7 including evenings and 3 out of 4 weekends.
For these contract sizes a full discussion around availability will take place at interview this includes the number of days per week you would be working and for those interested we are are also open to discussing weekend only contracts.
Please note the minimum length of shift in IKEA is 4 hours so it will not be possible to work the hours above over more the 4 days.
We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers.
Final offers of employment are contingent upon clear results in mandatory background checks. Background checks must be completed by all successful candidates and will include medical history.

We are looking for someone like you to help us deliver a taste of Sweden and a great customer experience with high quality, sustainable food. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team to deliver a better everyday life for the many, while embracing change with a solution-orientated mindset. This is an extremely fast paced working environment and requires you to multitask, producing and serving food with regular heavy lifting.
Prior experience in food is desirable, but not essential if you have a roll up your sleeve mindset to the various tasks & challenges that present themselves. A block of training will be provided to equip you with the skills and knowledge you will need to succeed in this fast paced food environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Food Co-worker, you will report to one of the Food Managers or Team Leaders and work alongside them in the kitchen help to create a safe, healthy, delicious, sustainable, affordable, and joyful food experience for both the customer and the co-worker. You will be responsible for tasks such as working on the dish, clearing tables in the restaurant & then supporting with preparing food.
The kitchen is a safety-first, fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail for all things safety and efficient multi-tasking to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to shop, work and have fun.
