The Kings Hotel Brighton are currently looking for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join the business, this person will work mainly in the morning on our breakfast service delivering exceptional Service. We are a business who look after our teams, and development is something we strive to achieve for all our staff.

We are looking for Part time, this role will be mainly based around our breakfast services.

The Role

• Meeting guests in a polite and friendly manner and standing at the door to ensure guests are promptly seated, creating a warm and welcoming environment
• Ensure a smooth running of the restaurant
• Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guests
• Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is always maintained.
• Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have
• Ensure that all front of house and guest areas are always well maintained
• Ensure you display a presentable appearance and performances are at a high standard
• Ensure the restaurant areas are always clean and well-presented and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as required
• To be fully aware of the Hotel’s Fire Safety procedures, Health and Safety regulations and Allergens.
• Supporting other departments as and when required (such as kitchen)
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen promptly and accurately
• Set up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner
• Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times and ensure that any guest complaints and comments are reported to management
• Prepare all back of house service points according to expected numbers for breakfast and dinner requirements as necessary
• Support the kitchen staff as and when required and in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £10.42 per hour
