Role Information:
*Please note this role is Fixed Term for 6-12 Months to cover maternity leave*
Working hours are 33 hours on a 4 week rolling rota with a mixture of late shifts (3pm-10pm), early shifts (8am-3pm) & every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our Team within our contracted homeless accommodation service.
You will be visiting clients in their homes either in small groups or on a one to one basis throughout the Wigan and Leigh area.
You will have experience supporting people with complex needs; helping them to overcome barriers so they can be resettled back in to the community.
Working as part of motivated team, you will be providing support and advice to maintain the welfare, health and safety of all our customers.
You will have experience working with vulnerable clients in a front line customer environment and you will have great communication and interpersonal skills.
You will have the ability to respond sensitively to individuals’ needs and be tactful but assertive depending on the circumstances.
Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits legislation would be desirable.
We operate a 24/7 service for our customers covering all aspects of homelessness. You will need to be flexible to meet service needs as you may be required to cover shifts at short notice.
