Job description

We are looking for a highly organised Logistics Administrator to join our friendly team based nr. Hockley Heath. Working in collaboration with our Logistics, Commercial, Accounts and International Sales teams you will plan the shipping and onward transportation of our goods from our manufacturing plant in China to customers around the world, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of goods and, delivering Peerless Customer Service.

This position would suit a confident graduate who has already gained 1 or 2 years of office based experience in an administration role with great IT and organisation skills. You should be a quick learner, ideally familiar with ERP and/or CRM technology and logistics processes. You must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your administration skills. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid ( 37.5 hours / c3-4 office days per week )

Salary: £26,000-£30,000

What you will be doing

  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling logistics activities, including transportation and warehousing to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing of shipments, inventory, and logistics-related documents.
  • Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the management of inventory levels and stock replenishment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and sales, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of logistics activities.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, records and documentation related to logistics operations and performance indicators.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and changes in logistics practices to recommend process improvements.
  • Support logistics team members with administrative tasks as needed such as batching paperwork, filing

Who we are looking for

Experience

  • Graduate with 1 or 2 years previous experience in an administration role

Knowledge and Skills

  • Highly organised and strong time management skills, able to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Problem solving skills to address scheduling and commercial-related issues and find practical solutions
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP system would be advantageous but training will be provided
  • European languages beneficial
