Beam ABA Services support individuals with learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs. We are rated 'OUTSTANDING' by Care Quality Commission [CQC] and are proud of the support that we provide.
We are currently seeking a manual car driver who can support the team and the service user in their daily communal activities. The service user is on a 2:1 support plan, and you will be required to collect the service user and support workers from their place of residence and return in the evening, as well as various locations according to the service users’ support plan throughout out the day.
The role can be full time or part time and working hours are 8:05AM-6/6:30/8PM Monday to Friday and 8:45AM-4:45PM on Saturday and Sunday, 3 days' minimum availability is required. You will also be insured to drive a designated vehicle. You should have a clean UK drivers’ license. We require all Beam staff to adhere to our Code of Conduct and successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment safeguarding checks including an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) Check and a full clean driving license is required.
Duties
● Maintain driving safety by driving within the speed limit and ensuring all passengers wear seat belts.
● Report any safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding leads at Beam.
● Working in partnership with key staff to build a positive working environment in the transportation.
● To model best practices and professionalism at all times.
● Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role.
● To attend mandatory training, team meetings, and self-directed e-learning modules
● Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends.
● Other duties as required by your manager.
Required qualifications and skills
● Have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience and be over 21 (for insurance purposes)
● Excellent communication skills, reliable and punctual.
● Clean Manual UK Car driving license
Salary and Holiday entitlement:
Full and part-time positions are available, paid at an hourly rate of £11.95-£12.50 depending on qualifications and experience, 30 days' paid holiday per year pro-rata.
